Une exposition comportant une cinquantaine de photographies contemporaines, oeuvres de photographes japonais dont le regard va au-delà du visible, a été inaugurée samedi à Alger. L’exposition, intitulée « Counter photography » (Contre-photographie), s’inscrit dans le cadre du programme d’activités culturelles élaboré par l’Ambassade du Japon en Algérie à l’occasion de la célébration du cinquantième anniversaire des relations algéro-japonaises. Prises entre les années 1990 et 2000, les photos sont majoritairement en noir et blanc. Le vernissage de cette exposition, qui se poursuit jusqu’au 18 février au Centre des arts et de la culture du Palais des Raïs (Bastion23), s’est déroulé en présence de l’ambassadeur du Japon à Alger, Tsukasa Kawada. La célébration du cinquantenaire des relations algéro-japonaises comprend plusieurs activités culturelles mêlant théâtre, photographie et cinéma. Une tournée d’art théâtral traditionnel japonais, dit Nô, s’est tenue récemment à Alger et Oran. Un festival du cinéma japonais classique en collaboration avec la Cinémathèque algérienne est également prévu du 1er février au 15 mars à Alger, Bejaia, Oran, Sidi Bel-Abbès et Tiaret.
